Your practice's own work
- Identity verification of directors and people with significant control (as an Authorised Corporate Service Provider, or guiding them through gov.uk)
- Late or missing accounts and confirmation statements
- Old charges still registered that were repaid years ago: satisfy them at Companies House
- A register of people with significant control, and director records, that do not match reality
- Dormant or wrongly filed accounts while the business trades
- The management accounts and tax computations the buyer will ask for
If your practice is registered as an Authorised Corporate Service Provider, you can verify a client's directors and file the code, and charge a fee for it.1 A charge repaid years ago and never satisfied still holds a sale up; an MR04 filed now takes it off the table before the buyer asks.4
